Privacy
Bunplan is a planner app for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch. This notice covers version 2.0. Updated October 26, 2026.
Your notebook stays with you
Bunplan has no account, advertising, analytics or third-party SDKs. We run no server for your data, and the app sends nothing you write to us.
On your device
Projects, tasks, steps, sessions and notes are stored on your device in a private app group shared with Bunplan's widgets, Live Activity, intents and (on the Mac) its Assistants helper. Each session also notes which device it ran on, as a random identifier and the device's general name, so sync can tell your devices apart. Spotlight indexes task and project titles on the device.
Lock Screen
A running session can appear on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, where its task name is hidden unless you turn on Show task names on the Lock Screen. Reminders and countdown notifications include the task name, and so do Apple Watch complications.
Optional iCloud sync (Plus)
With Plus, your notebook is stored in your private iCloud database and moves between your devices through Apple's CloudKit. On iPhone and iPad, sync runs while Plus is active; on the Mac, you turn it on in Settings. Your Apple Account and Apple's terms govern that service. When sync stops, the copy in iCloud stays.
Apple Watch (Plus)
The watch receives a snapshot of today's plan and session from your iPhone through Apple's Watch connectivity, directly between your devices.
Suggest steps (Plus)
Suggest steps uses Apple's on-device language model. The task title, note and project name are processed on your device and aren't sent to us.
Assistants on the Mac (Plus)
Off by default. Assistants run locally on your Mac. When you allow it, AI apps you connect on that Mac can read your plan, and with Read & write, change it. Bunplan sends nothing itself; the connected app may send what it receives to its model provider under its own privacy terms. Every change is listed in Assistant activity.
Purchases
Plus is sold through the App Store. Apple processes the payment and tells Bunplan on your device which plan is active, so the app can turn Plus on. Bunplan never receives your payment details.
Notifications and alarms
Reminders, countdown alerts and the optional end-of-countdown alarm are scheduled on your device, and only if you allow notifications or turn them on.
Backups and exports
A backup or CSV export contains your notebook or records, including notes. You choose where to save or share it; the app can't recall copies you've exported. Safety copies stay on the device for 7 days, or until you delete them.
Deleting
Deleting a task, step or project removes it from this device and, with sync on, from iCloud and your other devices. Erase all data removes everything in the same way, after a safety copy kept on this device for 7 days that you can delete sooner. Exports and device backups aren't affected.
Apple services, support and this site
Apple may provide diagnostics according to your settings and its policies. If you email support, we receive what you choose to send, to answer you. This site has no analytics, cookies or advertising. It's hosted by Vercel, which handles ordinary request information (such as IP addresses) to serve pages.
